The exhibition of the Estonian Sports Museum portrayed the history of Estonia’s most popular skiing event. The event started with a small group of friends skiing on the ice of the Emajõgi River. Over the decades, it has evolved into a major international sports event.

The Marathon has maintained its original idea as an event that unites skiing enthusiasts. Each February, it attracts thousands of skiers to Southern Estonia from many different countries. 

The Estonian Institute in Finland, the Estonian Sports Museum and the Lahti Ski Museum arranged the exhibition in collaboration.
